Pattern Craft — Help

You are the cyan faction. The magenta enemy is expanding from the top-right. Destroy their core to win.

How to Play

• Plant a seed: Left Click on empty space near your structures. Costs 20⚡. You can only place seeds within range of your existing structures (core or grown nodes).
• Seeds grow automatically into fractal tree structures over time. Each new node costs 2⚡.
• Claim energy: Grow your structures close to gold energy nodes. Claimed nodes generate +3⚡/sec. Your core also generates +2⚡/sec passively.
• Blobs: Your structures automatically produce small attack units (blobs). Blobs seek out and attack the nearest enemy structure.
• Win: Destroy the enemy core. Lose: Your core gets destroyed.

Growth Modes

• 1 EXPAND — Grow outward in random directions. Good for claiming territory.
• 2 DEFEND — Grow toward your own core. Creates dense, defensive clusters.
• 3 HARVEST — Grow toward unclaimed energy nodes. Best early game.
• 4 ATTACK — Grow toward enemy structures. Aggressive expansion.

• Left Click — Place seed / select structure
• Right Drag — Pan camera
• Scroll — Zoom in/out
• WASD — Pan camera
• 1–4 — Switch growth mode
• T — Open mutations (tech tree)
• H — Toggle this help
• Esc — Close panels

Mutations (Tech Tree)

• Fast Growth (40⚡) — Structures grow 50% faster
• Blob Swarm (50⚡) — Blobs spawn 2x faster
• Energy Drain (70⚡) — Blobs steal energy when attacking
• Thorns (80⚡) — Structures damage nearby enemy blobs
• Parasitic (100⚡) — Place seeds anywhere on the map
• Mass Split (110⚡) — Dying blobs spawn 2 smaller blobs

Strategy Tips

• Rush the nearest gold energy node with HARVEST mode first.
• More energy nodes = faster growth + more blobs = snowball advantage.
• Place multiple seeds to create parallel structures — don't rely on one.
• Roots (seed nodes) have more health but if destroyed, the whole branch decays.
• Use the minimap (bottom-right) to click-navigate across the map.
